CONTRIBUTOR – SWIMMING

There are few who can boast of an athletic career such as Aileen Riggin Soule’s. After a whirlwind tour of the Olympic Games in 1920 and 1924, where she won several medals, she moved to Hawai’i in 1957. In 1967 she was inducted into the Swimming Hall of Fame for her Olympic heroics and her dedicated efforts on behalf of the swimming movement. She is the founder of the Hawai’i Senior Games Association and is still a board member to this day.

She is one of the most sought after swimming celebrities in Hawai’i and the U.S.A. For her many fund raising and motivational presentations, she was named, “Grande Dame” of the International Swimming Hall of Fame in 1988. She addressed the 1998 Olympic Team at Atlanta, Georgia.
